Sankraman is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language black comedy film written and directed by debutante Sajid Yahya. The film stars Ananya, Sunny Wayne, Bala in the lead roles. The film was released on 10 August 2018.



The story revolves around a girl named Sankalp (Ananya) who is an Nymphomaniac and how she gets into trouble with her sexual escapades.





Sankraman is the first directorial venture of debutant Sajid Yahya under his production house ‘Yahya Productions’. It was announced in March 2017 that Ananya would be playing the lead role in this movie while Sunny Wayne will be seen as her love interest while Bala will play the antagonist role in this movie. This movie marks their fourth collaboration after ‘Kerala Cafe’, ‘Aadu Mutham Karai’ and ‘Thirumurukunna Amman Irukkanum Thottam’ which were released earlier this year too but they were not successful at box office due to poor storyline and bad acting skills of all three actorsSankraman is a Malayalam film released in the year of 2019. The movie collected more than 1.5 Crore from the box office on its first day and 2 Crore on second day of release. The movie completed 50 days in theaters with a total income of 5 Crores at the box office which is an average income for this type of movies.
