Sins of the Father is a novel written by Sue Klebold, mother of Dylan Klebold, one of the perpetrators in the Columbine High School massacre. The book was published on September 11th, 2001. It is a non-fiction account of how Dylan’s life spiraled out of control and led to his involvement in the Columbine High School massacre.

The book begins with an introduction from Sue Klebold where she explains that she wrote this book because she felt it was important for people to know what happened behind closed doors and not just through media reports. She goes on to say that her son had many problems growing up but no one knew about them until after he committed these crimes. She also states that writing this book has been very difficult for her because it brings back so many painful memories but she feels it is important for people to know what happened behind closed doors so they can prevent something like this from happening again.

Sue goes into great detail about each event that took place throughout Dylan’s life leading up to his involvement in the Columbine High School massacre including his childhood abuse at the hands of his father and eventual suicide attempts by himself as well.

She also goes into great detail about each event that took place throughout Dylan’s life leading up to his involvement in the Columbine High School massacre including his childhood abuse at the hands of his father and eventual suicide attempts by himself. She states that she believes this is what caused him to become so angry and violent towards others.

The book then shifts to a first person narrative from Dylan Klebold where he explains how he felt throughout most of his life, how he came to be who he was, and why everything happened as it did. He goes on to say that no one ever cared about him or understood him or tried to help him with any problems he had. He says that everyone just thought he was a ‘loser’ because they never knew what was going on in his life behind closed doors. He also states that everyone hated him for being different than they were but no one ever understood him or helped him with any problems he had. This made him feel like an outcast and left with no other choice but to isolate himself from society so people would stop bullying and harassing him for being different than them.

He then goes on explain how everything spiraled out of control when Eric Harris started bullying/harassing Dylan online through instant messaging programs such as AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). They eventually met face-to-face at school where Eric began picking on Dylan relentlessly calling him names, spreading rumors about things such as having sex with animals, etc…

Dylan then explains how he felt after Eric’s death and how he was left with a sense of guilt for not being able to save him. He also goes on to say that the bullying/harassment from Eric had caused him to become so angry and violent towards others.
